A number of, mainly online, Scottish resources have been researched, including the the International Genealogical Index (IGI), Ancestry.co.uk and Scotlands People, who are all acknowledged with thanks. From this research valuable data was discovered pertaining to the following records:
- Parish registers 1538-1854.
- General Register Office for Scotland: Birth, Marriage and Death, (GROS BMD) Indices, 1855-2009
- Scottish Census data - 1871, 1881, 1891, 1901, 1911.
